Job summary

The City of Winchester is seeking a Part-Time Transit Dispatcher to work Saturdays 8:30 am to 5:15 pm with occasional weekday shifts as needed. This role provides customer service to riders, coordinates drivers and vehicles, and uses dispatch platforms to keep service on schedule.

Responsibilities include monitoring radio traffic, routing, and real-time service monitoring, plus assisting with training and dispatch procedures as required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a high school diploma or GED with at least three years of experience in customer service and administrative functions.
• Public Transportation experience is preferred.

• Monitor service efficiency in real time and participate in or lead training for dispatching procedures when necessary.
• Use multiple software programs, mapping tools, and dispatch platforms to ensure accurate and efficient service.

Educations and Experience:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required with at least three years of experience in customer service and administrative functions. Public Transportation experience is preferred.
