Directors Guild of America Inc., based in Los Angeles, California, is seeking a Theater Manager to join the Operations Department as a part-time onsite role. The position involves coordinating theater operations, managing event rentals, and working closely with studio contracts, catering, and security teams.

The ideal candidate will have a background in theater operations or facility management, be flexible with weeknights and weekends, and maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• A background in theater operations, facility management, and/or security is preferred.
• Must be available to work varied hours, including weeknights and weekends.
• Professional appearance is essential.
• Comply with strict business ethics guidelines.
• Required 20-25 hrs./wk.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to all DGA members, patrons, vendors, and colleagues.
• Facilitate and support a variety of internal meetings and event rentals from small committee meetings to large screenings and receptions.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of DGA management, in-house projection staff, security officers, parking staff, and engineers.
• Assist in the setup, execution, and strike of assigned DGA meetings and/or events rentals.
• Stand for long periods of time and work well in a team environment.
• Some lifting will be required.
• Supervise areas.
