Job summary

AMDA College of the Performing Arts in Los Angeles is seeking a Stage Manager to support theatre events on the LA campus, operating on a per-show basis and coordinating rehearsals and performances with staff and students.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (minimum) or equivalent experience and at least two years of professional stage management experience, along with strong organizational skills and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (minimum) or comparable educational or professional experience.
• Minimum 2 year of professional experience in stage management.

Responsibilities

• Attendance is required at all rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performances
• Liaison between student performers and artistic/production staff
• Create and distribute rehearsal and performance reports
• Record blocking and taking notes at production meetings
• Most rehearsals are anticipated to be conducted on weeknights (some weekend days may also be needed) during the upcoming spring semester.
