Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) seeks a Part-Time Temporary Lab Coordinator, Industrial Technician to coordinate program laboratories and assist instructors with lab operations and equipment to facilitate student learning.

This 15-20 hour/week position offers daytime hours Mon–Thu with Friday mornings, at DMACC campuses. Requires an associate degree or diploma in a maintenance, electrical, or mechanical field and at least three years in related work. Salary is $28.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or diploma in a maintenance, electrical, or mechanical field or completion of a formal building trades apprenticeship program.
  • Three years experience in a maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or warehouse occupation.
  • Ability to do job site materials estimates.
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage projects.
  • Ability to track inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Knowledge of current software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals.
