Qualifications

• Requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year of teller experience.
• Aptitude for mathematics and numerical accuracy.
• Able to follow instructions, policies, procedures, and confidential protocol.
• Excellent customer service and ability to refer products and services.
• Competent keyboard skills and familiarity with bank systems.

Responsibilities

• Processes all customer transactions in strict adherence to bank procedures.
• Resolves routine customer service concerns and/or notifies the appropriate authority.
• Explains, promotes, refers, and/or sells products and services based on customers’ needs.
• Meets or exceeds defined sales, referrals, and service goals.
• May participate in training of new tellers.
• Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and balances.
• Processes transactions on the bank’s operating systems.
• Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at shift end.
• Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in ATMs and night depository.
• Performs other duties essential to branch operation.
