Job summary

West Michigan Credit Union in Big Rapids is seeking a part-time teller to provide professional, confidential service to members in person, by phone, or by mail, while accurately handling transactions. The role requires cash handling experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong customer service and communication skills.

You will balance cash drawers daily, greet members, process withdrawals, respond to inquiries, and support branch operations with a flexible schedule and growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of cash handling experience.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Balance checks and cash drawer daily and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Greet and welcome members, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions.
• Manage time efficiently and seek opportunities to develop knowledge.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude in complex situations.
• Cash share drafts/checks and process withdrawals after verification.
• Answer phones promptly and professionally.
• Meet and exceed teller referral goals.
• Follow safety and security procedures for emergencies and suspicious activity.
• Understand policies and compliance issues, including BSA/AML and OFAC.
