Job summary

First Horizon Bank in Johnson City, TN is seeking a teller to provide quality customer service and accurate daily processing of financial transactions in a retail banking setting. You will often be the first point of contact for clients and may refer them to other areas of the bank.

You will handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, balance ATMs, and assist with night deposits while maintaining compliance and promoting bank products to build relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and 6 months of cash handling or teller experience strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• As part of the employment process, a background credit check is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle a cash drawer and follow audit policies to maintain proper cash control.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments for customers.
• Process miscellaneous transactions (bonds, municipal coupons, money orders, etc).
• Assist in daily balancing and processing of ATMs and night deposits.
• Support vault duties and stay informed of updates to ensure compliance.
• Deliver excellent client experiences and promote bank products when appropriate.
