Job summary

The West Side YMCA in New York, NY seeks a Teen Coordinator to lead teen programs under the Youth & Family Director. Responsibilities include staff coordination, program development, outreach, recruitment, and partnerships with local schools.

Teen activities run during the school year, after school, and some Saturdays and summers. Responsibilities cover travel supervision, budgeting, data reporting, and continuous improvement to youth outcomes, with an emphasis on SEL and inclusivity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree desired in Education or Social Work.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with youth programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety of teens with close supervision of activities.
• Manage administrative data entry and participant paperwork.
• Plan and implement program registration, programming, and events.
• Facilitate teen programming when a Teen Advisor position is vacant.
• Support social-emotional learning and skill development in programming.
