Job summary

Follett Higher Education is seeking an ELP Team Lead to manage team activities, assist customers, and ensure store standards. The role involves training staff, processing online orders, and maintaining displays to support sales and customer experience.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years in retail or customer service, leadership experience preferred, and strong communication skills. Evening/weekend availability and physical ability to lift merchandise are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years retail or customer service experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Basic computer skills: create/save text documents and emails.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented in performing accurate transactions.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task with minimal supervision.
• Proactive in meeting internal and external customer needs.
• Effective work methods and ability to meet commitments.
• Uses sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Clear and positive communication.

Responsibilities

• Leads team members and seasonal staff, planning and supervising activities per guidelines.
• Ensures training for new and existing staff to foster success.
• Assist customers and suggest items based on customer interest.
• Maintain shelves and displays to company standards.
• May participate in events on- and off-campus.
• Lead or assist with processing online orders: enter sales, pick books, prepare for pickup/shipment, update customers.
• Ensure markup or markdowns are taken according to the schedule.
• Open/close the store as key holder, and act as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Support workload and ensure customer satisfaction through “Hassle-Free” service.
