Penn State University Park is seeking a part-time teaching assistant to join the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems for Fall 2026. The role supports Dr.
Wael Jabr for 15 hours per week during the academic semester, assisting in Python and SQL-based problems. The candidate will work with MySQL, review documentation, debug, and extend existing Python packages, including writing and validating SQL queries and Python code.
The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for one part‑time teaching assistant to start in fall 2026. The successful candidate will assist Dr. Wael Jabr for 15 hours per week during the academic semester.
Work on solving problems using languages such as Python and SQL. Specifically, the work involves using MySQL as well as running existing Python packages (i.e., review documentation, debug, evaluateâ¦) and subsequently building on those packages. Expect to assist in writing, debugging, and proofing queries written in SQL and code written in Python.
Starting rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
