Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is seeking a part-time Teacher to join the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Garfield Park.

The role entails teaching two classes daily, 10am–11am and 11am–12pm, Monday through Friday, to school-age children and adolescents in a structured therapeutic setting. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred), one year of teaching ED/BD youth, and a valid Illinois teaching certificate (PEL) with Special Education certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience teaching ED/BD children/adolescents preferred.
• Illinois teaching certificate (PEL) required; Special Education certification preferred.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate growth and behavior management.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to patients in a structured classroom setting.
• Develop interventions for patients who struggle in the classroom.
• Assist in curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Maintain accurate records and patient lesson plans.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
