Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Columbia is hiring year-round part-time swim instructors with leadership opportunities within 3–6 months. You’ll teach water-safety skills, deliver the Goldfish curriculum, and help families as part of a fun, fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to complete lifeguard, CPR & AED certification as part of training and shifts as a lifeguard.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Educate students on safety rules to prevent accidents.
• Evaluate students’ progress and complete required paperwork promptly.
• Interact with parents/guardians about students’ progress.
• Use problem-solving to address challenges students encounter.
• Maintain and store pool equipment; set up/clear lane lines and class materials.
• Perform light cleaning duties on occasion (windows, deck, trash).
• Attend mandatory workshops and in-service training outside regular hours.
