Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is hiring year-round, part-time instructors with leadership opportunities available within your first 3-6 months. This role is ideal as a after-school or second job, with paid training and a set weekly schedule to fit a student’s life.

You will instruct students on water safety and proper swim techniques, communicate progress to parents, and participate in ongoing certification training including lifeguard, CPR & AED as part of your duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to complete lifeguard, CPR & AED certification class as part of training and work scheduled shifts as a lifeguard.
• Ability to perform job functions in a warm, humid setting and chlorinated pool.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Educate students on safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
• Evaluate students’ progress and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills.
• Use problem-solving and creative thinking to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
• Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment and set up class materials.
• Attend occasional mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours.
• Fulfill other duties or responsibilities as assigned by your employer.
