Job summary

Intermountain Health Orem Community Hospital is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist for 32 hours/week, Tue–Fri, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with call requirements. Role includes assisting in the OR, maintaining sterile fields, and supporting surgical services.

The position offers growth opportunities to ORT II/III/IV and requires BLS, ORT program completion, or equivalent experience. The hourly rate ranges with shift details provided.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program or equivalent.
• Two years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operating room and all surgical items meet sterilization criteria.
• Maintain sterile field and a safe environment.
• Prepare the operating room and instruments for procedures.
• Assist with sterile processing.
• Assist surgeon during procedures within ORT scope.
• Identify emergencies and respond appropriately.
• Assist with room turnover and cleaning after procedures.
• Opportunity for advancement to higher ORT levels.
