Job summary

Northern Ohio Surgery Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist (Part-Time) to join our operating room team in Cleveland. The role involves assisting surgeons and the OR staff with instrument setup, patient preparation, and sterile technique during procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, preparing the room, and supporting the surgical team before, during, and after operations. Certification is preferred, with 0–2 years of related experience welcome.

Qualifications

• Certification preferred but not required.
• Graduate of accredited surgical tech program or have completed training for surgical technologists in the Armed Forces.
• Must be CPR certified.
• 0–2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions before operations.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures following hospital regulations.
• Pre-operation skin, body, and equipment prep.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and ensures proper function.
• prepares, positions patients for surgery and applies sterile drapes.
• Monitors vital signs, checks charts, and assists with gowning and gloving.
• Passes instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants.
• Transports and aids in patient recovery after operations.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and related diagnostic equipment.
• Restocks operating room after procedures.
