Job summary

Advocate Health Lake Norman is seeking a part-time maternity nurse. The role involves assisting in surgical prep, maintaining aseptic technique, and supporting the RN circulator during procedures. This position is 24 hours per week with two twelve-hour shifts, and benefits eligibility applies in a collaborative hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and surgical technology training. NBSTSA/NCCT certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program or approved military training.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN circulator in surgical prep, instruments, and room turnover.
• Maintain aseptic technique and organize supplies before, during, and after procedures.
• Monitor sterilization and document charges and related processes.
