Job summary

Fastenal seeks a Part-time Supply Chain Associate in Richmond, KY to manage inventory and assist with procurement, sourcing, and quoting for customer needs. The role is based at 6013 Atwood Dr and may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding and goal achievement.

Responsibilities include maintaining branch inventory, processing purchase orders, backorder management, pricing estimates, and coordinating resources to serve customers. The position offers 20–28 hours per week with potential growth.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field or have customer service or industry related work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels.
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management.
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product.
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
• Supporting accounts receivable activities.
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary.
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success.
