Job summary

Fastenal is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate at our Indianapolis branch. The role focuses on managing inventory, procurement, quoting, and customer service to support business-to-business operations. The position offers a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals are met.

The role is based at 2330 Profit Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46241, with up to 28 hours per week. Training through Fastenal's School of Business prepares you for success in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Possess or pursuing a related degree or have customer service/industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to lift/move packages up to 50 lbs (up to 75 lbs).
• Pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch inventory levels.
• Administer procurement functions including purchase orders and backorders.
• Estimate/quote prices and source products.
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
• Support accounts receivable activities.
• Make deliveries with a company vehicle as needed.
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success.
