Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who demonstrates a mature Christian faith and active church involvement. The role requires friendly, clear communication and a caring, perceptive approach to students.

You will teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, implement the provided curriculum, maintain a safe and organized classroom, take attendance, and coordinate with the supervising teacher and volunteers to ensure smooth sessions.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Ability to implement LifeWise curriculum and maintain a safe classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide them to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and coordinate duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
