Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who demonstrates a committed Christian faith and strong communication with students and families. The role involves completing substitute teacher training, delivering LifeWise lessons with provided curriculum, maintaining a safe and engaging classroom, and following discipline policies.

You will also maintain attendance records, manage classroom procedures, and communicate with the lead teacher and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
