Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a dedicated substitute teacher who can demonstrate Biblical knowledge and effective classroom instruction. This non-exempt, part-time role requires a mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and the ability to implement LifeWise lesson plans with fidelity.

You will complete substitute teacher training, teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, maintain a safe and organized classroom, take attendance, and communicate with teachers and volunteers

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergencies.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
