The role requires maintaining a safe, organized classroom, following LifeWise policies, taking attendance, and coordinating with teachers and volunteers while representing LifeWise in the community.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment per LifeWise policies
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance records and provide records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
