Job summary

Amarillo College seeks a Part-Time College Services Associate to deliver exceptional customer service to students and staff across in-person, phone, email, and chat channels. You will assist prospective and current students with enrollment, financial aid questions, and account information while handling various departmental requests.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and strong communication skills, with opportunities to support cashiering, records, and helpdesk tasks.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Some college coursework.
• Required: Experience in a customer services environment.
• Preferred: Experience in a student-based customer services environment including cashier, call-center or Distance Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external customers in person, by phone, email, and chat.
• Provide information to prospective and current students via telephone, email, mail and other media.
• Research and respond to student inquiries regarding financial aid, account balances, holds, sponsorships and enrollments.
• Process various forms and requests for assistance from other departments.
• Conduct surveys to collect recruitment and retention information.
• Act as first responder for calls from IT Helpdesk, Financial Aid and Registrar's Office.
• Process credit card payments and research student account information.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot problems with software and login issues.
• Admit and register students, collect and disburse monies, process testing information.
• Compose reports, documents, and evaluations in a timely fashion.
• Observe and promote safety and environmental practices.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Engage in a culture of caring aligned with AC Core Values.
