Indiana University Bloomington is seeking a Part-Time Student Project Assistant in Facility Operations to support Building Maintenance, Landscape Service, and Building Services. The role is based at 2901 East Discovery Parkway, Bloomington, IN 47408, with a schedule of 16–20 hours per week at $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include data entry of physical assets, updating maintenance schedules, assisting in annual plans, and providing front-line support to the Facility Operations Call Center.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
• Technical skills for modern office work environments.
• Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide range of individuals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation.
• Strong organizational and load-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilités

• Collects data points from shop supervisors and enters data into preventative maintenance templates.
• Assists in the development of the annual repair and replacement schedule.
• Assist Facility Operations Call Center as needed with answering phones and processing customer requests.
• Assists in the development of annual event Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for Facility Operations to include but not limited to: Little 500 setup and tear down, Memorial Stadium football preparatory work, and Memorial Stadium winterization.
• Assists in updating building sign condition assessment.
• Develops schedule for power washing building exteriors.
• May assist with other projects as they arise.

FACILITY OPERATIONS-IUB (BL-PHYP-IUBLA)

Capital Planning and Facilities (CPF) works to ensure that Indiana University (IU) campuses are beautiful, functional, and sustainable supporting excellence in teaching, learning, research, and community engagement across the entire university. A unit within CPF, Facility Operations , maintains our physical campus to support research, teaching, and learning at Indiana University Bloomington. As a unit of Capital Planning and Facilities, Facility Operations provides wide-ranging services all with the goal of creating a beautiful, well-functioning campus.

The Part-Time Student Project Assistant will provide assistance to the directors of Building Maintenance, Landscape Service, and Building Services.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

• Performs data entry of physical assets into asset management software.
