Department Information
Indiana University (IU) Finance is responsible for a wide range ofbusiness functions across the university. These functions ensureand provide efficient and safe daily operations, sound financialmanagement, and employee benefits.
Job Summary
- Directs the daily and long-term financial and/or administrativeoperations of multiple institution organizational units or amulti-faceted academic research and teaching unit within a schoolor college.
- Responsible for accuracy, timelines, and the general integrityof the Financial Administration family.
- Controls all expenditures and statement of accounts to ensureregulatory compliance and fiscal integrity.
- Manages complex revenues including internal and externalsources.
- Directs the management of general appropriation, endowment,federal and non-federal grants and contracts, and gift funds.
- Prepares operating and project budget drafts. Creates annualrevenue and expenditure budget for school or support unit.
- Monitors functional area budgets and reports any significantdeviations from approved budgets. Develops budgetary policies andprocedures.
- Responsible for supervising business support personnel.
- Develops, plans, and directs special projects, which mayinclude space renovations, space allocations, staffing, equipmentpurchases, long-range plans, leasing of off-campus space andservices.

EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field.
Preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 4 years related functional experience.
- 1 year of management experience.

- Ability to understand and interpret financial policies,regulations, and pertinent state/federal laws.
- Advanced knowledge of financial statements and differentbudgetary models; ability to apply in different situations.
- Demonstrates the ability to create workable solutions frombroad concepts and ideas, projections, forecasting, and long termplanning.
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivityequipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periodsof time moving around an office environment and the campus. Theperson in this role must be able to perform the essential functionswith or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary
$86,632.00 - 90,000.00 annually
