Job summary

Oregon State University in Corvallis is seeking two part-time Student Events Specialists to support the College of Business – Marketing, Communications, and Events.

These roles are up to 24 hours per week, under supervision of the Director of Events, handling RSVP management, vendor coordination, and on-site customer service for events, with pay at $16.55 per hour.

Enrollment requirements include being a current student in a college program, with availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a college or university and pursuing a program of study.
• Must meet academic standing requirements; suspensions not eligible.
• Able to work minimum 2-hour shifts, with occasional nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Attending meetings and taking notes.
• RSVP management (Excel, Qualtrics, SharePoint, Zoom, etc.).
• Coordinating with external vendors for catering, equipment and space rentals.
• Organizing and inventory of event materials.
• Set-up of marketing and event displays.
• Data management, analytics, and tracking.
• Customer service on-site during events.
• Other administrative duties as needed.
