Job summary

Central Oregon Community College (COCC) is seeking a student Events and Outreach Coordinator to plan and manage campus events across all four COCC campuses. The role focuses on engagement, coordination of Bobcat Orientation, Welcome Week, and Stress Free Finals with a minimum of two events per campus per term.

This temporary PT hourly position offers a monthly stipend of $642 and requires a 10-hour workweek, typically Monday through Friday, with some evening or weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of how to effectively and sensitively work with constituents from diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
• Familiarity with computers, multi-line phones, and other standard office equipment.
• Skills and experience with keyboard, computer and use of MS software.
• Ability to communicate effectively and positively, both orally and in writing, using the English language.
• Able to work independently engaging in problem solving and resolution, and organize multiple tasks within timelines.

Responsibilities

• Organizes events and programs across all campuses, with a minimum of 2 events per campus per term.
• Coordinates ASCOCC involvement with Bobcat Orientation, Welcome Week, and Stress Free Finals.
• Schedule outreach activities at each campus, with a minimum of once-a-week tabling and 2 class raps per council member per term.
• Provides oversight of and manages the campus events budget.
• Attends and assists with Bobcat Orientation.
• Works in collaboration with the Student Equity Coordinator to ensure equitable programming is offered at each campus.
