Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a P/T Temporary Student Advisor for undergraduate advisement at a New York university. The role is hybrid (on-site Mon–Thu, Fridays remote) for 20 hours weekly, with a 2-month contract and potential extension. Direct W2 employment only, no C2C or third-party referrals.

The advisor will guide students through academic planning, course selection, and referrals to campus resources, supporting non-traditional and undergraduate populations in a student-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Experience advising or supporting students in higher education settings.
• Student-centered approach with empathetic communication.
• Comfort navigating SIS and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advisement and assist with course registration.
• Identify at-risk students and refer to campus support resources.
• Maintain proactive outreach via email/phone and advising appointments.
