Job summary

Dollar Tree in Dover, DE is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and help develop the store team. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, merchandising, payroll and scheduling, ordering merchandise, loss prevention, and maintaining clean, organized, and welcoming stores for customers and associates.

Strong communication, teamwork, and problem solving are essential as you help lead associates and uphold company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Experience in store management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise; maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; clean bathrooms and floors; take out trash
• Other duties as assigned
