Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee day-to-day store activities, assist customers, and develop the store team in a fast-paced retail setting. You will support opening/closing procedures, merchandise organization, and ensure store standards and safety guidelines are followed.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to coaching Store Associates while maintaining a welcoming, high-quality shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks listed in the job description.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise as needed.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
