Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Mansfield, LA to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is properly organized and displayed.

The role involves opening/closing procedures, following corporate directives, supervising staff, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Part-time position with opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays to ensure effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Keep store clean and presentable including restrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
