Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Louisiana LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

Duties include assisting with day-to-day store activities, supervising associates, organizing merchandise, opening and closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining clean, safe areas of the store. A strong focus is placed on delivering friendly service and guiding staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or similar environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, organized store areas and protect assets.
• Train and develop store associates and ensure a respectful environment.
