Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Austin, Indiana location. The role involves assisting with daily store functions, merchandising, opening/closing duties, and implementing corporate directives.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, store management experience in retail, and strong communication skills to lead a team and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Follow safety and company policies; supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
