Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail experience in upscale or luxury environments.
• Womenswear and/or luxury experience preferred.
• Sales-driven with target attainment.

• Ability to flex between sales floor and operations.
• Experience with POS systems and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Client Experience & Styling: greet customers, style based on needs, share product knowledge, and create wardrobe solutions.
• Business Development & Performance: collaborate with corporate partners, attract/retain clients, host events and manage VIP experiences.
• Operations: assist in daily store operations, process purchases/returns, restock merchandise, and participate in inventory counts to prevent shrinkage.

SALARY: $20-$23/hr + commission

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2+ years working in an upscale retail environment

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly motivated Full Time Stylist to join our Madison Avenue flagship team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about styling and community building who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial retail environment.

Our Stylists are sales leaders, brand storytellers, and relationship builders responsible for delivering an elevated and personalized shopping experience while ensuring excellence in daily store operations and merchandising standards. As part of our flagship store team, you will work closely with our corporate partners across marketing, merchandising, and ecommerce to support brand initiatives and drive store success.

Responsibilities

Client Experience & Styling

• Greet customers as they arrive in the store and style them based on their shopping needs
• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and service-driven store environment
• Act as a brand storyteller, confidently sharing product knowledge, fit, and styling expertise
• Proactively style clients for full wardrobe solutions, confidently outfitting across categories and occasions
• Execute merchandising strategies to ensure the floor reflects current brand priorities
• Develop and maintain dedicated Tanya Taylor customers and stylists through outreach, appointments, and follow-up communication
• Meet and exceed individual and store sales and KPI goals

Business Development and Performance Management

• Work cross-functionally with corporate partners to drive and increase sales performance for overall business
• Identify new opportunities to attract and retain clients
• Propose and implement action plans to improve results and generate sales for each product category
• Support and host in-store events, styling appointments, and VIP experiences
• Assist in daily reporting shared with corporate office

Operations

• Assisting manager in day-to-day operations
• Execute purchases and returns with accuracy and efficiency
• Restock and organize merchandise on the sales floor
• Support in inventory and cycle counts to ensure alignment and partnership between front of house and back of house
• Help prevent shrinkage by playing an active role on the sales floor
• Responsible for back room management

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of previous retail experience
• Womenswear and/or luxury experience preferred
• Sales-inclined and goal oriented
• Excellent social skills: the ability to communicate optimally both verbally and in writing.
• Has a friendly and professional demeanor
• Passionate about fashion and styling
• Ability to flex between sales floor and operations as business needs.
• Ability to use POS system and its inventory management functions
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to lift boxes/weight up to 30 lbs
• Must have flexible schedule: some nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
