Job summary

Royal Farms in Fredericksburg, VA seeks a Shift Leader (part-time) to manage store operations on duty as the Person in Charge. You will lead customer service efforts, supervise staff, and ensure safety, food service execution, and merchandise standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing shift tasks such as POS, vendor check-in, and cash control, while driving sales and cost controls. Training occurs to uphold brand standards and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must possess strong supervisory and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to encourage, inspire, and develop team members.
• Minimum of 1 year of food service or retail management experience (preferred).
• A current ANSI-approved Food Safety Manager Certification (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to encourage, inspire, and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full scope of shift operations as the Person in Charge (when no more senior leader is present).
• Perform shift operational tasks including POS transactions, vendor check-in, and adherence to cash control standards.
• Oversee and hold team members accountable for compliance with policies and safety requirements.
• Ensure 24/7 execution of all food service and beverage programs, including ordering and production planning.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, merchandising, and store cleanliness.
• Complete store side work and maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Follow safety, security, and SOP procedures; uphold company mission and brand standards.
