Job summary

Dollar Tree in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise organization, and opening/closing procedures.

The role requires strong communication and leadership in a fast-paced retail environment, with an emphasis on customer service, safety, and team growth. Part-time position with opportunities for growth within the store network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, and multitasking.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and ensure compliance with store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays to promote promotions.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
