Job summary

Dollar Tree in Ruidoso, NM is seeking a part-time Store Associate to support daily operations and customer service. You will help customers, stock shelves, and ensure the store is clean, safe, and well-organized.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in store management in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs., frequent walking/standing
• Strong communication and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and maintain store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits) and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean store and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies; supervise/train Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain bathroom cleanliness, floors, trash, and overall store presentation
• Other duties as assigned
