Hot Topic is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to support store leadership in achieving sales targets, recruiting, and developing a high-performing team in a dynamic mall environment.

You will drive customer engagement, promotions, and store operations while building lifelong relationships with customers. The role emphasizes leadership, execution of promos, and data-driven strategy to meet goals.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience
• Strong communication and recruiting skills
• Ability to manage operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising)
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to adapt in a fast-changing retail environment

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in achieving sales plans and goals
• Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative, passionate team
• Promote new products and engage customers through in-store promotions and online channels
• Provide leadership to run an operationally sound business with customer-first selling practices
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules
• Communicate with retail leadership and HQ on trends and feedback
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit targets
• Merchandise the store using planograms and rollout promos on time
• Develop a high-performing, customer-focused team in partnership with the Store Manager
