Job summary

Lids Sports Group is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Store Manager in Houston, TX to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with brand standards, and support inventory management in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, merchandising, and maintaining a positive, inclusive team culture while achieving KPIs and store goals.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues or customer complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through training programs, goal setting, and follow-up.
• Administer progressive steps of discipline including verbal and written warnings when the Store Manager is absent.
• Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment aligned with company objectives.
• Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment adhering to Brand Standards.
• Schedule and staffing duties including calling in associates for unexpected peaks.
• Participate in training programs and assist in recruiting store personnel.
• Encourage compliance with policies, protect inventory, funds and property.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Lead and execute selling strategy to achieve KPIs and sales targets.
• Resolve customer feedback and escalations to achieve a positive resolution.
• Encourage participation in membership programs and in-store offers.
• Maintain visual merchandising and store cleanliness.
• Operate and maintain store technology and equipment.
• Prepare store for inventory audits and assist as needed.
• Open and close the store following procedures.
• Protect company assets and manage backroom efficiently.
• Manage inventory including receiving, transferring, price changes, and counts.
• Layout and VM optimization, including seasonal changes.
