Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time associate to deliver exceptional customer service, assist with merchandise, and process sales transactions. The role supports the Store Manager with daily activities, inventory control, deliveries, and maintaining store appearance.

Responsibilities include training others, greeting customers, resolving inquiries, and contributing to promotions to grow baskets. A flexible schedule and ability to lift up to 40–55 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer management experience in retail, grocery or drug store environments.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with merchandise selection and location, and complete sales transactions.
• Provide guidance to store team members on operating practices and procedures.
• Resolve customer inquiries and concerns with a positive attitude.
• Contribute to increasing basket size through suggestive selling and promoting promotions.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and manage stock transfers from the stockroom to the floor.
• Assist in asset protection and safeguard store assets.
• Open/close duties in absence of management, oversee cashiers, and support store operations.
• Complete all Position Based Training timely.
• Follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
