Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

This role requires strong customer service and communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, and physical stamina to lift 30–50 lbs and work on your feet. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks and replenish stock.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms included.
• Other duties as assigned.
