Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ, on-site, is seeking an Associate Patient Care to work the 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift in the Stepdown ICU.

The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and clean environment, and performing EKGs and venipuncture under supervision. Qualified candidates may hold a PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification, and may have related experience from a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire is required.
• PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months–1 year healthcare experience in last 6 months is preferred.
• CNA certification or NHCA certification for PCA/PCT diploma acceptable.
• Enrollment in nursing school with Nursing Fundamentals coursework may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Perform EKGs and Venipuncture as directed by RN.
