St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ seeks a Patient Care Associate for the night shift. The role provides direct daily living assistance to acutely ill patients, supports a safe, clean environment, and performs EKGs and Venipuncture under RN supervision.

On-site hospital setting with full-time hours. Qualifications include a high school diploma, BLS within 6 months, and PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification with related experience or active nursing coursework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of healthcare experience OR CNA certification OR PCA/PCT diploma with NHCA certification OR nursing school program coursework in lieu of diploma/certification.
• Evidence of Nursing Fundamentals coursework or Nursing Assistant training.
• PCA/PCT, Home Health Aide or CMA experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Perform EKGs and Venipuncture as directed by the RN.
