Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ, is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Associate for Day shifts in Med/Surg/S3. Provide basic care and assist with daily living activities.

Role includes ensuring a safe, clean environment and performing EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, BLS within 6 months, PCA/PCT or CNA credentials, and current nursing education enrollment or completion.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification or nursing program completion.
• Evidence of Nursing Fundamentals coursework or Nursing Assistant training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care and assist patients with activities of daily living in Med/Surg/S3.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist in safety compliance.
• Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.
