Job summary
St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Associate for the night shift. You will assist patients with daily activities, provide basic care, and help maintain a safe, clean environment on a Med/Surg/Geriatrics unit.
The role requires a PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification with healthcare experience and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as per policy. Per Diem/FT options may apply. On-site position with competitive benefits.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
- PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of healthcare experience
- CNA certification OR PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification
- Enrolled in nursing school with Nursing Fundamentals coursework
- Evidence of Nursing Fundamentals coursework or Nursing Assistant training program
- PCA/PCT, Home Health Aide or CMA experience
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic care.
- Perform EKGs and venipuncture under RN supervision.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment.
