Job summary

New York Edge is hiring a part-time STEM activity instructor to lead after-school programming at New York City public schools. You will design and implement lesson plans across STEM areas, from robotics to coding, and work with staff to ensure safe, engaging activities.

The role requires 2:00 pm–6:00 pm in-person work, Monday through Friday via multiple site assignments, with opportunities to impact student learning and growth through structured curricula.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• College credits in STEM, education, math, science preferred.
• Experience teaching youth and working with children is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with students and lead daily activities.
• Teach or co-lead STEM curriculum (Math, Robotics, Science, Coding).
• Prepare lesson objectives and materials for each session.
• Input data and prepare reports as needed.
• Assist program events and coordinate activities.
