Job summary

New York Edge is seeking an Extended Day Activity Instructor to lead STEM activities after school in Queens, NY. This part-time, in-person role supports curriculum and prepares materials, guiding students through math, robotics, science, coding, and engineering.

The position requires a high school diploma, 18+, and prior experience with youth. Candidates should be creative, organized, and able to manage multiple activities and communicate clearly with students, families, and school staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• College credits in STEM areas preferred.
• Experience teaching youth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with students and sustain engagement.
• Lead or co-lead daily STEM activities.
• Learn and facilitate STEM curriculum (Math, Robotics, Science, Coding, Tech, Engineering).
• Prepare materials for daily activities.
• Input data and prepare reports; assist with assessments.
