New York Edge is seeking an Extended Day Activity Instructor for after-school STEM programs in Queens, NY. This part-time hourly role involves designing and implementing STEM lessons, preparing materials, and ensuring safety across program sites.

The instructor will collaborate with the curriculum team, build relationships with students, and contribute to program events while working in person at NYC public schools.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college credits in STEM preferred.
• Experience teaching youth and working with children preferred.
• Knowledge of a variety of STEM activities and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Lead and co-lead daily STEM activities.
• Design and implement STEM lessons across program sites.
• Prepare materials and safety procedures for activities.
• Input data and prepare reports.
• Support program events and adapt curriculum to student needs.
• In-person, site-based work at NYC public schools.
