Job summary

Nexplore is seeking a part-time STEAM and ARTS Instructor to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons after school at partner sites. You will teach in-person sessions focused on STEM, art, and life skills, using provided curricula and materials.

Training and curriculum are supplied, with opportunities to impact thousands of students. The role requires a commitment to the full schedule, strong communication, and experience teaching children.

Qualifications

• AA Degree (or higher) required.
• 2+ years teaching/instructing experience preferred.
• Experience working with children.
• Educational (development or training) experience.
• Teaching degree or certificate is a plus.
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willing to complete mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Follow a provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach.
• Deliver standard-aligned instruction that cultivates critical thinking and joy in learning.
• Manage all supplied instructional materials.
• Engage in professional, responsive communication with Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Deliver inspiring instruction from Nexplore’s programs, with accommodations as relevant.
• Participate in family engagement efforts and help children access and engage in programs.
