Job summary

Nexplore is seeking an enthusiastic instructor to deliver in-person STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and/or Fitness programs after school for PreK-12 students at partner sites. You will work with training, lesson plans, and materials, reporting to a Program Success Manager.

The role emphasizes consistent scheduling, engaging teaching, strong communication, and the ability to adapt 80+ program offerings with a student-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Part-time position
• AA Degree (or higher)
• 2+ years teaching/instructing (preferred)
• Experience working with children
• Educational (development or training) experience
• Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule
• Great communication and presentation skills
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to complete mandatory training

Responsibilities

• Consistency - Follow a provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach, review lesson plans and materials prior to instruction.
• Competence - Deliver meaningful, standard-aligned instruction that cultivates critical thinking, problem solving, and joy in learning.
• Communication - Engage in professional, responsive, effective communication with Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Creativity - Deliver inspiring instruction from Nexplore’s programs, administer accommodations and extensions as relevant.
• Community - Engage families and empower each child to access and engage in Nexplore programs.
